Glen Baptist, CFA, was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in June 2014 and has also been the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) since March 2006. As CEO he is responsible for the day-to-day business and investment management of Prudential Financial’s asset management affiliates and joint ventures in Italy, China, Taiwan and India. From 2000 to 2006, Baptist was director of mutual funds and managed accounts for PGIM Fixed Income, with responsibility for these products across all distribution channels globally. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer (COO) for asset management at Prudential, responsible for business administration. Before becoming COO, he was managing director in charge of fixed income research, managing a team of analysts focused on Prudential’s mutual fund and variable annuity/life insurance portfolios. Baptist joined Prudential in 1986 and has 30 years of experience ranging from investment management and marketing to corporate finance and strategic planning. Baptist received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore University, and his Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. In 2017, Baptist was appointed to the Board of the UNICEF USA Bridge Fund.
